What is vitamin B2?Vitamin B2 is a water-soluble nutrient similar to vitamin B1.What does Vitamin B2 do? It helps the body to produce energy. Viatmins B2 is required for healthy skin, mental stability and nervous system health.It also reduces cholestrol and assists with hormone synthesis. Vitamin B2 may help protect against cancer due to its anti carcinogenic properties. Where is Vitamin B2 found? Vitamin B2 is found in Vegemite, yeast, beans, breakfast cereals and grains, spinach, broccoli, wheat germ ,mushrooms, zuchinni,eggs, and in small amounts in green vegetables. Great sources of vitamin B2 are sunflower seeds, almonds and hazelnuts, cashews nuts. What happens if I don't get enough? This is rare, but it can cause cracking of the skin around the mouth and slow growth in children.
