Vitamin B7 - Biotin

Vitamin B7 ( Biotin)

Biotin is a B-group vitamin also know as vitamin B7.

Biotin promtes health hair and is needed by the body to use
folic acid and vitamin B1 and vitamin B5

Biotins is found in legumes, molasses, peanut butter,
almonds, yeast, whole grains, eggs, dairy and seafood.

If you eat a lot of raw egg white, this can interefere with
biotin being absorbed and deficiency can occur.

What does Biotin do?

Biotin helps you to produce energy.

A deficiency of Biotin can result in dermatitis, hair thinning
and hair loss, depression, nausea & vomiting.

The RDI recommended daily dose is 300 mcg although
there are no observed adverse effects from taking levels of
2,500 mcg of biotin.

If you want stronger thicker hair or nails then you should take
2,500 mcg of biotin a day in order to make a difference.

NOTE: If you take more than 100 mg of alpha lipoic acid
daily, then you really should be taking biotin supplements
because alpha lipoic acid can compete with biotin and
interfere with it's activities.


Biotin is a beauty vitamin necessary if you want to grow
thick strong hair and nails. Biotin is also needed for clear
healthy glowing skin.You have to use high doses of this
vitamin of around 1000 - 3000 mcg a day to achieve
these results though.
